퇴원 심의 Task Force Team 운영 분석

Purpose : The discharge committee has been working since June, 1998. The team is to help primary doctors' decision making regarding their patients' discharge as the patients or their families request. The purpose of this study was to analyze the Discharge Committee’s task and to determine its effectiveness.

Method : The study used descriptive survey design. Data was collected by using two methods. 1) Records of Discharge Committee were reviewed and 2) a questionnaire to assess users' opinion was used. Total 53 case records from July, 1998 to Feb, 2000 were reviewed and 12 doctors who referred their patients to the committee completed the study questionnaire.

Result: The Discharge Committee's task was analysed in 6 categories. 1) reasons why patient or patients’ family asked for discharge 2) reasons why primary doctors referred their patients to the committee 3) results of the committee's patient disposition 4) classification according to ethical criteria 5) the degree how the committee was helpful 6) factors needs to be modified in the committee were identified.

Most of the participants responded that the Discharge Committee was helpful to them and wanted its continuance.
