ABSTRACT

We surveyed the programs for strengthening the hierarchic relationship between Senior and Junior students at medical schools in Korea. According to our study, it was found that 18 out of 41 medical schools in Korea have some programs for strengthening the hierarchic relationship. And 9 out of that 18 have the military like physical training, and 2 out of that 9 have much harder programs including beating.

Also we studied the opinions of the medical students and doctors in Dongguk Medical School about the need of the program; 56.2% of them agreed the program and 31.5% against the program.
